Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum

Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is situated in the business district of Nashville, merely a short walk from the beer joints of Broadway and the famed root of country music, the Ryman Auditorium.

This contemporary $37 million location was exposed to the public in 2001, and the monumental appearance of this singular edifice enlivens the skyline in Nashville's business district amusement area.

The Museum has an incredibly vast assemblage to document C&W music's chronciles, and inside, the crown jewels of the assemblage are presented, illustrating the tale of country music crossing over 100 years.

You'll find collections of authoritative recorded music, uncommon television footage, changing displays, live performances and other public programs, live broadcasts, as well as grabbing a bite at SoBro Grill & Catering and shopping at the Museum Store.

Catching the demonstrations of the Museum educates and stimulates country & western buffs of all ages and experiences, from the newest C&W music fans to those who've enjoyed C&W music for umpteen years.

As you walk through the exhibit halls, you'll watch the procession of country music beginning in the fields and honky-tonks of the south, all the way to the Grand Ole Opry and the giant hits of our country & western sensations today.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is self-led, so you can view it at your own pace - people usually take 2-3 hours.  The Museum supplies an Audio Tour (70 minutes), narrated by Eddie Stubbs (WSM Radio & Grand Ole Opry announcer), including parts narrated by Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, and Trisha Yearwood.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum presents "Sing Me Back Home" as a permanent presentation spanning two entire floors of the museum, an energizing walk through the history of country music.

Using groundbreaking recordings, objects, photos and TV film, and interactive touchscreen displays, Sing Me Back Home steeps guests in the sound and history of country music, and the lives and voices of its esteemed champions.

As the "Sing Me Back Home" tour comes to its end, you'll walk into the Hall of Fame Rotunda, another lasting exhibit.  This is the sacred location where Country Music Hall of Fame® members are respected with bronze tablets accrediting their initiation into the Hall of Fame.

Time spent at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is an necessary part of any Nashville vacation. You'll find it is both informative and fun. And with the discernment of the history of Nashville's music you'll gain a finer admiration of Nashville.
